Golden Gate Housing Trust has extended its repair and maintenance contract with builders’ merchant Jewson for an additional four years with the option to extend for a further three.
In addition to the supply of all materials under the repair and maintenance contract, this new extension covers the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for 1,500 properties over two years. Also included is the supply of kitchen, bathrooms, roofing and central heating materials, which form part of GGHT’s planned maintenance program.
With over 8,600 properties in its portfolio, Warrington based GGHT required a provider that has the capabilities to supply and service large-scale retrofit projects quickly, efficiently and confidently.
Mark Burrows, Head of Repairs and Maintenance at GGHT says: “The successful relationship between Jewson and GGHT has been on-going for over eight years and following a full Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) tender process, Jewson was still the only provider that could repeatedly meet all our needs.”
