Jewson adds to executive management team

Builders merchant Jewson has made three new appointments to its Executive Management Team.

Adam Smith joins as sales director, Vince Fenson as procurement director and Simon Jones in the newly created role of business development director.

Smith was most recently at Tata Steel as sales & marketing director.

Fenson was deputy head of corporate planning based at Saint-Gobain’s head office in Paris, and has also held a number of senior roles for Gyproc in the past including marketing & business development manager and regional managing director.

Jones joins from KPMG Management Consultants where he held a senior position within the operations strategy group.

“Therefore, as a business we need to be in the best possible shape we can be to deliver continued sales growth, strong supply chain solutions and operational excellence. In addition, with the acquisition of Build Center from Wolseley UK, it will enable us to enhance our services and product range to meet customers’ needs even more effectively in the future. Taking all these factors into account, the new appointments provide all the necessary experience and expertise to drive the business forward.”
