Rob Tyler joins the team as the new purchasing director, working out of head office in Sheffield, while Steve Pinder has been promoted to the role of general manager at the manufacturer’s Melton Mowbray-based windows factory.

Pinder joined the business through a youth training scheme aged just 16 years and will now responsible for the entire factory site, managing 285 members of staff.

Tyler’s previous roles include supplier development director and purchasing and operations director for Wolseley PLC Europe and Latham Timber and Building Suppliers, respectively.

Mike Ward, managing director at JELD-WEN, said: “We are really excited about both Steve and Rob’s appointments as they both bring huge amounts of experience to their new positions. The move comes at a time when we are looking to improve efficiency company-wide and both will hold pivotal roles in ensuring we successfully reach targets and satisfy the needs of our customers.”
