The new facility, which brings the company’s total up to 26 branches across the UK, is on the Rossmore Industrial Estate and was opened by local celebrity Ken Dodd OBE.

Covering a one-acre site the new branch has created four new jobs and will stock an extensive range of products including solutions for adoptable sewers, house drainage, rainwater, soil, waste, channel and land drainage, gullies and covers, storm water management, ducting and fuel tanks.

JDP is now in a position to serve customers on the Wirral, Merseyside and across North Wales better than before.

The opening day was attended by a number of key suppliers, including Wavin, Polypipe, Titan, Naylor Drainage and Charcon, and the official opening was followed by a charity raffle that raised £6,000 for the local Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

JDP regional manager, Andy Hoarty said: “Ellesmere Port is the ideal location for our latest branch as it offers great communication links throughout the North West and North Wales, which has previously been served by our Bolton and Heywood facilities.”
