JCB Workwear have launched extensions to their range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complement the safety footwear, clothing and high visibility ranges launched in 2007.
The new range comprises helmet, goggles, ear defenders, respiratory mask and specialist equipment for welding, driving, all terrain and courier work. All items conform to the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 and have been certified to the relevant EN standard
The hard helmet, certified to EN397, has been specially designed to provide both protection and user comfort with features such as textile cradle straps and ratchet adjustment to ensure a proper fit.
The goggles are manufactured to EN166 and include a soft, adjustable face seal for comfort and fit. They feature an indirect ventilation system as well as a frosted top to prevent glare.
The respiratory mask provides reliable and effective protection against fine particles and the ingress of pollutants. Manufactured to EN149 (2001), it incorporates an adjustable nose clip and twin-strap design to ensure a secure and snug fit.
There are five ranges of gloves – Welding, British Worker, Cab Driver, Courier and All Terrain – each with different features. For example, the welding gloves are certified to EN388, EN420 and EN12477 and are manufactured from heavy-duty rough split suede fabric.
