Independent builders merchant, James Burrell is recruiting, despite the challenges laid down by the three UK lockdowns.
In the past year, sales have remained on a par with the previous year, HR manager Alyson Hunter says, pointing out that those months that did fall behind, did so purely because of factors relating to the lockdown.
“In terms of headcount, we sustained a level of hit 250 throughout the year in February 2021 with more headcount growth planned in the coming months to reflect our consistently growing sales,” she says.
“So we’re delighted to be in a position to be hiring for eight roles across the North East and Yorkshire,” she says.
The roles are: LGV Driver, Ossett; Relief LGV Driver, Ossett and York; Relief LGV Driver, Ossett and Rotherham; Relief LGV Driver, Northern Branches; Warehouse Operative, Sunderland; Senior Transport Planner, Gateshead; Stock Control Assistant, Gateshead; and Sales Person, Gateshead. More growth and further recruitments needs are anticipated throughout the remainder of the year
