Independent Gateshead-based builders merchant James Burrell is celebrating the completion of a major £200,000 renovation at its branch in Ossett, West Yorkshire.

The branch, which opened in 2007 serves Ossett and the local area including Horbury, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Tingley and Batley from its location on Milner Way.

It offers a full range of timber & joinery, insulation, roofing, landscaping and facing bricks for both contract customers and trade collections.

The major investment has created improved customer collect facilities onsite and a new 120m2 merchandised shop area – complete with high quality product displays, enabling the team to offer an even wider range of products onsite for tradespeople.

Richard Day, Regional Sales Manager at James Burrell, said: “We’re pleased to have now completed our major renovation project. This investment provides us with the infrastructure to further develop our product offering amongst our valued customers in Yorkshire.”

The business is also continuing to invest in new fleet vehicles, helping it to deliver 1,000 tonnes of building materials each and every day across its branch network of Ossett, York, Stockton, Bishop Auckland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Blyth and Sunderland – with a new Morpeth branch opening later in the year.
