For the sixth year Jackson Building Centres will be supporting Lincoln’s 10K Road Race, which takes place on Sunday 30th March.
Jackson is the main sponsor for the third year running, and staff from the company’s 25 branches throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire will be competing in the race. The team have been holding twice-weekly training sessions and they are all hoping to improve on their individual finishing times.
The event, organised by the City of Lincoln Council Sport Development Team, attracts up to 6,000 competitors and takes in much of the historic part of Lincoln, including the Cathedral and incorporates the ‘Roman Prime Mile’ before the finish in the grounds of Lincoln Castle.
The designated charity to benefit from this year’s run is the British Heart Foundation. Jackson’s marketing manager Colin Bartleet said: “Jackson is once again proud to sponsor this great event, which really seems to unite the whole community.
“Every year this event gets bigger and better and attracts more and more people, and we are hoping to raise a substantial amount for the British Heart Foundation.”
