Jackson Building Centres heating manager retires

Heating manager Mervyn Heeley has retired after almost 24 years with Jackson Building Centres.
Heeley started his career at the Spilsby branch of the East Midlands builders’ merchants before moving onto the Skegness branch. He was due to retire two years ago at the age of 65 however he was offered a one year contract to stay on which he accepted, then he was offered another year’s contract at the end of that.

Reflecting on his years at Jackson’s, Heeley said, “I have had a very fulfilling career with Jackson Building Centres and enjoyed many highs during my time there.”

As a long serving employee, he was presented with a Sony Laptop Vaio by branch manager for Spilsby, Skegness and the new Alford branch, Stephen Turner. Also at the special presentation was Robin Laidler, operations director for the northern region of Jackson Building Centres.
