IoBM launches merchant training forum

The Institute of Builders Merchants is inviting training professionals from the merchant industry to a forum event on 28th November 2013.
Open to anyone responsible for the personal development of their staff, the day seeks to identify how the industry can work together, with the support of the IoBM, to tackle the training and development needs of the future.

The half-day event, to be held at IoBM headquarters – at the BMF offices in Coventry – will bring together merchants from across the sector to discuss common challenges; from how to engage, motivate and retain staff within the sector, through to developing management and leadership skills and succession planning.

Steve Selleck, IoBM President said: “From this, the IoBM hopes to work towards developing a training board, which will inform and support the industry as a whole in its aim to attract and retain professional individuals who see a value in a career in merchanting.”

For further information, or to book a place contact Gill Sellick IoBM Administrator on Tel: 01767 650662 or email admin@iobm.co.uk by 14th November 2013.
