An official announcement will be made at this year’s show, but EMAP Construct, organisers of Interbuild have announced that the show will take place every year from now on rather than every other year.
The move has been made “in response to exhibitor and visitor demand” say organisers. “Following our return of the event to its traditional autumn dates, a restored focus on the professional builder and significant investment in marketing initiatives to support the show, we have seen a very encouraging response from the trade,” says newly appointed Event Director, James Gower.
Show organisers will officially launch the show as an annual event at the Interbuild 2007 Exhibitor Party on Monday 29 October.
Another key driver of the move is the fact that the industry is becoming more product-driven, meaning new launches are far more frequent. “96% of the construction product and service sector now promoting new products at least annually,” says James Gower. “Interbuild provides a unique platform from which to launch new products. It will benefit the trade to have the opportunity to showcase their latest developments on a yearly basis.”
This year the show takes place at the NEC Birmingham on October 28-November 1. The 2008 dates are already set for October 26-30 October.
