Institute of Builders Merchants launches 2011 skills day

The Institute of Builders Merchants will be holding a ‘Practical Building Skills Challenge Event’ at Cambridge Regional College on Wednesday October 19, 2011.

Institute of Builders Merchants launches 2011 skills day

The event for the teams of four will include activities around:

  • Carpentry

  • Brickwork

  • Paving

  • Painting

  • Simple electrics

    All to be completed within a set timescale.

    Those attending will benefit from increased product knowledge, enhanced confidence with customers, improved sales and service capabilities, gained through practical experience of installing some of the products they deal with on a daily basis.

    Prizes will be awarded for the best build and all attendees will be awarded a one year student membership of the Institute of Builders Merchants. The cost for the day including lunch will be £65 per person.
