The Institute of Builders Merchants will invest its first ever female President at the AGM next month.

Rebecca Mason will take up the chain of office on April 17 at the meeting at the St John’s Hotel, Solihull.

Mason is currently HR Manager at The Ridgeon Group and joined the Institute’s Board of Governors in 2006 with considerable training knowledge and experience within a number of industry sectors.

Joinng her on the board will be Vice President Andrew Pine and Governors Dawn Wilkinson, Phil White, Steve Sellick, Chris Pateman.

The guest speaker at the AGM will be Dave Jordan, business development manager at Ridgeons, who will give an overview of “The Code For Sustainable Homes and Modern Methods of Construction”.

The Institute of Builders’ Merchants was formed in 1968 with the aim to develop and acknowledge professionalism within the Builders’ Merchants Industry. It does this by recognising, accrediting and monitoring educational standards for those employed within the industry.
