ICI Paints remakes school woods area

ICI Paints AkzoNobel has donated products and services to support the makeover of an outdoor leisure area at Shepherds Down School near Winchester.

The donation was part of the Give & Gain Day initiative from not-for-profit organisation, Business in the Community.

Comprising several wooden sculptures and pagodas, the school decided that the area would benefit from a little bit of colour. The experts at the ICI Paints AkzoNobel Colour Studio created a customised design for each sculpture using various shades from the Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus product range.

In order to highlight the walkways and make it easier for students to distinguish the pathways, Dulux Trade Ultimate Weathershield Opaque was specified in Lemon Peel for the edge of the wooden paths.

John Benjamin, National Accounts Manager at ICI Paints AkzoNobel, says: “Give & Gain Day is a fantastic initiative. Each year its just gets bigger and better and it’s been brilliant to be part of the scheme in 2011. Too often we take for granted the wonderful work that people in our community do, and Give & Gain Day is a great way to get involved and give something back.”
