Ibstock gains responsible sourcing standard

Brick manufacturer Ibstock been awarded a ‘very good’ rating in its factory assessment for the responsible sourcing standard, BES 6001.
The BES 6001 standard for responsible sourcing shows that a building material has been produced in a way that has minimised its environmental impact, and it is sustainable.

John Richards, sales and marketing director at Ibstock, commented: “As part of our ongoing dedication we have put together our 10 tenants of responsible sourcing. Covering elements such as employee engagement, investment in efficient manufacturing and recycling of process materials, these commandments will ensure that Ibstock remains ahead of the curve when it comes to responsible sourcing and sustainable development.”
