Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Independent builders merchant buying group IBC is celebrating a record year, which has seen the group expand.
IBC, formed five years ago, now holds 175 members across the UK and over 80 national suppliers. This year has also seen the group appoint Marc Coulson as its new national sales manager, while in May it launched a new website.
Vick Patel, Chairman of IBC, said: “When we set out on this journey at the end of 2008 we never thought that in the 5 short years we would have grown to the size we are. We would not be where we are now if it wasn’t for the support of our members and suppliers as well as NMBS and UNIMER. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support.”
Newly appointed managing director Paul Read said: “Our working relationship with the Builders Merchants Federation was one of a number of highs this year. Their support has been a real asset to the group and we look forward to a successful 2014.”
