Eighteen employees from builders merchant Huws Gray flew through the Welsh sky on the fastest Zip Line in the world to raise money for Hope House Children’s Hospice.
The Zip Wire Velocity is known as the “nearest thing to flying” and is located at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda (Gwynedd).
Among the group were Francis, Andy, Pat, Ian, Sam and Robert from the Rhuddlan branch, Terry, Jon, Richard, Dafydd and Jamie from the Holyhead branch, Jamie and Darren from the Flint branch and Dewi Morris, Tony, Yvonne and Dafydd Hughes from head office. Also taking part, supporting Huws Gray from Crime Prevention Services was Daniel Farrell.
Hughes said, “We had a great time, everyone really enjoyed it. Neither of us had done anything like it before so we didn’t know what to expect at start and we were a bit nervous. But we all built up the courage and completed it.
“We’d like to thank Hope House for organising a fantastic day. We’re glad we can continue to support children’s hospices in our special anniversary year.”
