More than 100 guests, including suppliers, attended the celebrations at St. David’s Park Hotel in Ewloe, Flintshire with ex-Wales football international Mickey Thomas entertaining guests with on and off-field anecdotes about his colourful and successful professional career with clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Wrexham.

A charity auction followed the former Manchester United star, with items including a signed Diego Maradona football shirt donated by Marshalls and VIP tickets at Old Trafford donated by Encon Insulation.

The evening ended in style as comedian, Gary Skyner filled the room with laughter with jokes-a-plenty.

Helen Carlson, corporate development manager at Claire House Children’s Hospice, was delighted with the evening.

“I would like to thank Huws Gray for a lovely evening, and to all the guests who were very generous in the special auction,” she said. “The support Huws Gray has given and will continue to give throughout their 25th anniversary is simply fantastic.”

Chris Roberts from Huws Gray’s marketing department, said: “We would like to thank all our suppliers for their on-going support throughout this special 25th anniversary year, as well as supporting our celebration dinner.”

The celebration evening was part of Huws Gray’s busy calendar of events throughout 2015 aiming to raise much-needed funds for a variety of children’s hospices throughout the company’s branch network.
