Huws Gray buys brick stock

North Wales-based independent builders merchant Huws Gray has bought the entire stock of Caradale Traditional Brick Ltd from the administrators.

Managing director, Terry Owen says that it was a “strategic investment decision which we hope will make us stronger within the industry”.

It is hoped that the purchase will expand the company’s current customer base, including adding benefit to its already successful online business, as well as adding value to the existing customer base.

Huws Gray already hold stocks of Caradale bricks within the range offered at its Brick Specialist Centres

in Warrington and at Queensferry on Deeside in North Wales. Initially, it is planned to hold the entire Caradale range at these two centres.

Caradale bricks use shale clays toy make a harder, more durable brick suitable for the extremes of British weather.
