HPS opens Renewable Energy Centre

Plumbers merchant chain HPS has opened a Renewable Energy Centre showroom and training facility at its latest branch in Maidenhead.

The company is now offering training days to allow installers and HPS members of staff to learn more about the opportunities available with renewable products.

HPS now also has a partnership with IBD to offer customers a completely tailored design and quoting service for renewable systems with the benefit of supervision and full support package if required, followed by a system check, commissioning and MCS sign off on completion.

IBD are running a number of training courses at Maidenhead explaining to installers the scheme and the support package now available from HPS to them.

HPS sales director Peter Wilson says: “This represents a real opportunity for our customers to get involved with renewable products often for the first time and to learn and understand a lot more about many of the exciting new products that are now available and the benefits that can be available to the end user.”

The tie-up with IBD takes much of the hassle and ‘scare-factor’ out of the equation for both customers and staff, he says.

“AT HPS our customers – and our staff – needed the technical expertise to know what products are suitable to be installed in which situation. IBD have that technical expertise but needed a route to market. This partnership works because both parties are bringing their own experience and expertise for the benefit of our customers and our businesses.”
