Howard welcomes new Group Operations Director

Howard has appointed Phil Tissington as its new Group Operations Director (UK).

Tissington joined the company on 4th March, taking responsibility for UK operations covering health and safety, quality, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.Phil Tissington

Working to ensure our valued customers receive their products on time, in full and to appropriate quality standards, he will contribute to our mission to be the UK and Europe’s preferred partner to merchants, manufacturers and distributors within the construction industry.

Tissington has many years of experience in the UK manufacturing and production sector; before joining W. Howard he spent four years as Operations Director at Renold Gears, a manufacturer of chain, gears and couplings, also based in Manchester. He has also enjoyed production roles at NOV Mono and Minky Homecare Products.

Speaking about his new role, Tissington said: “I am excited to join a company which is showing continual growth and investment in its future. All my previous roles have been in the engineering industry, so I am looking forward to both learning about a completely different industry, and also bringing the experience I have gained from those previous roles to W. Howard. “I am also looking forward to working with the teams to improve all aspects of customer service, from delivery performance and quality, enhancing the overall customer experience.”
