Hepworth Building Products have extended their Hep2O range with the launch of the universal spigot elbow.
A standard 15mm radiator fitting would require a 15mm socket reducer as well as a 10mm 90 degree elbow socket fitting when used with the 10mm barrier pipe now prevalent in heating installations. However the spigot elbow eliminates the need for these two products as it is already configured with a 15mm spigot and a 10mm socket.
As an ideal alternative to the existing bulky fittings prevalent in most radiator connections, plumbers can maximize their efficiency as installation time and cost is significantly reduced, with a lower number of joints and fittings required.
As a white product the spigot elbow compliments white radiators and skirting boards and does not need painting after completion.
Hepworth product design manager Adrian Bristow said: “We are constantly listening to our customers and developing products to meet their needs. Despite the availability of 10mm radiator valves plumbers still prefer to work with 15mm valves, therefore the Spigot Elbow is designed with the installer in mind.”
