Independent builders merchant buying group h&b held two Supplier Development Days, designed to foster closer relationships between members and their suppliers.
The days were held in Bristol and Leicester and featured a ‘speed-dating’ session, with h&b member companies located at tables in the meeting room and visited by suppliers for 20 minute sessions throughout the day.
In all 24 members and 40 suppliers attended each venue – adding up to a total of 672 appointments over the two days.
Feedback from members and suppliers was positive, and the consensus was that it was time well spent: it was a great time saver having so many suppliers & merchants together in one place.
The limited contact time meant that no time was wasted as both parties got down to business quickly and it was also a great opportunity for new suppliers to make contact.
