Cement manufacturer Hanson UK is now putting its Multicem cement in waterproof packaging, improving shelf life and allowing merchants to store the product outside.
The plastic packaging is tear resistant, creating less waste and mess than the previous plastic-lined paper bags, and is 100 per cent recyclable.
Multicem is a high quality, high performance air-entrained* packed cement suitable for use in concrete, mortar, render and screed offering improved workability and resistance to frost.
Hanson UK’s national marketing manager Paul Lacey said: “The new Multicem packaging gives the product a six month shelf life and means that it can now be stored outside, making it easier for merchants to control and store their stock and freeing up expensive dry storage space.”
The launch is being supported by end-user advertising and in-store leaflets as well as point-of-sale and fact sheets for merchants to help grow their sales and margin.
Merchants can order the new Multicem 25kg bags as part of a mixed load of Hanson’s wide range of packed building products.
