Hanson Cement has appointed three new district sales managers (DSMs) to its packed products business as part of the company’s drive to improve customer service.
Affy Matthew, Louisa Heron and Simon Cowling report to Andrew Simpson, national commercial director – packed products, and will work with merchants to build partnerships and help maximise sales and profits.
Matthew, who joins Hanson following nine years with Cambridgeshire Police, covers East Anglia, while Heron moves from asphalt s
ales to look after Yorkshire. Cowling has spent the last 15 years with Wickes and joins the company as packed products DSM for north west London.
Andrew Simpson said: “All of our sales team have undergone training in a new ‘sales as a science’ programme designed to add value to customers and the service they receive.
“Our three new pa
cked products DSMs will work closely with merchants to help them in areas such as product selection, pricing queries and promoting products online.
“The appointments are part of our continuing investment in our sales team and our commitment to delivering first-rate customer service that goes beyond that of a product supplier.”
