Gripfill owner Bostik is celebrating the success of its free-to-download mobile game ‘Attack of the Shoddy Builders’.
The game achieved 5,907 mobile downloads, 8,995 Apps Store downloads and 7,985 online game plays. With 2,138 scoreboard entries and a total of 8,095 web hits, the campaign took customer interaction with the Gripfill brand to record levels..
The game saw the Gripfill Girls come under attack from cowboy builders using inferior gap filling adhesives. Gamers played to protect their van by shooting as many flying bricks as possible with a Gripfill gun.
The campaign was promoted on pack and included a live online leader board with numerous prizes for top scorers.
Jon Griffiths, product manager for Gripfill, said: “The objective of this promotion was to build brand recognition and loyalty with today’s young tradesmen and apprentices while continuing to engage with existing Gripfill users. The figures show that a high number of tradesmen got involved with the campaign and we know from scoreboard information that a range of ages have been enjoying the game.”
