Grey Slate and Stone Supplies expand in the south.

North Wales based Grey Slate and Stone Supplies, specialist slate suppliers to builders merchants, roofing contractors and architects, have opened a new branch in south Wales.

The branch, in Merthyr Tydfil, will mirror the operations of the North Wales division, supplying natural slate for roofing, flooring and architectural applications.

The new development will continue to strengthen the family owned company’s vision of being the number one supplier of Natural Slate products.

Managing director, Mike Phillips says: “It was important for us to find the right location to expand our venture and tap-in to the enormous amount of work being carried out along the M4 corridor and into the South West. We see this as a stepping stone for the future years and a way of securing our steady growth, with Merthyr Tydfil being the correct location.”

The company supply both the merchant trade and roofing contractors with Welsh and Spanish slate as well as architects, with their website, www.slateandstone.net, backing up the branch network.
