Grant & Stone ramp up expansion

Buckingham-shire based independent builders and plumbers merchant Grant & Stone has opened three branches in the last five months.

The new Reading plumbers merchant and bathroom showroom opened in December on the Stadium Trade and Business Park. Showroom Supervisor Matt Claridge says: “We feel Reading was crying out for a top quality bathroom showroom which can cater for both trade and retail, we believe we have achieved that”

The Reading builders merchant branch of Grant & Stone opened in April in Lambs Lane, Reading, the same day as the timber merchants in High Wycombe.

Commercial director Peter Cudd says: “We have only ever been able to provide a very limited stock of timber products so adding a Timber Merchants to the Grant & Stone family really will enable us to provide the full package for our customers”

The timber merchant also has on-site facilities for cutting, including a band-saw, cross cut saw and panel saw.
