Throughout the week, visitors to the store have been buying raffle tickets, guessing how many sweets are in the jar and getting their thinking caps on for the quiz. The week culminated with the staff donning their best fancy dress to announce the prizes and their winners – which included golf days at several local clubs, a day at the races and a coffee maker, as well as trade prizes donated by suppliers such as Twyford.

Lindsay Roberts, contract administrator at the branch organized said: “We’re very pleased to have done our bit for such a worthy cause. We had a really good time getting into the fundraising spirit and would like to thank everyone who helped make it possible.”

Barnardo’s is Graham’s charity of choice, as part of its ‘together’ charity programme, which also involves Graham’s sister building distribution companies. Since partnering with Barnardo’s in May 2012, the programme has raised £200,000 so far.
