At Graham Plumbers’ Merchant’s recent Bathroom Showroom conference, a number of suppliers and colleagues were awarded for their exceptional performance with relation to the Graham Promise and for the delivery of great customer service. Held on 19th July at the Wychwood Park Hotel in Crewe, the awards ceremony was part of a two-day conference that also included a supplier trade show. Award winners were selected by Graham Showroom sales colleagues, who voted for manufacturers they felt best met the criteria.
As part of the Graham Promise, the merchant commits to always having the brands and products that customers want available when they need them. In recognition of its exceptional product availability, Graham’s Supplier Award for Unbeatable Availability was awarded to Ideal Bathrooms. Mark Smedley, Area Sales Manager for Ideal Bathrooms collected the award on the night.
The Supplier Award for Rapid Speed of Response was awarded to Lakes Bathrooms, for its help fulfilling Graham’s pledge to provide quick customer service, whether online, over the phone or in branch. Mike Tattam, Sales and Marketing Director for Lakes Bathrooms, commented: “At Lakes we like to work very closely with Graham and we are delighted to have won this award for our work with them. As a business, customer care is one of our core values and we pride ourselves on our speed of response from first receiving the call, to delivery of stock. It is exactly what we aim for.”
Graham also promises that customers are always served by well-informed and knowledgeable staff. The Supplier Award for Contribution to Knowledge was awarded to Roca for the success of its product training scheme. Lawrence Hodgson, National Accounts Manager for Roca, commented: “We are thrilled to have been presented with this award in recognition of the new training programme, which we have been rolling out across Graham branches since last year’s conference. It is fantastic to receive such good feedback from the staff that have been involved and we look forward to going live with stage two of the training shortly and also inviting staff to our factory in Barcelona as part of stage three.”
Finally, the Graham Promise pledges that customers will always get competitive prices on products. In recognition of this, the Supplier Award for Unrivalled Value for Money was awarded to MERLYN. Lisa Simeone, MERLYN Regional Sales Manager, commented: “I am thrilled to have received this award on behalf of MERLYN. We strive to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience when they deal with us and to receive this award from Graham for unrivalled value for money makes us very pleased to know that our top-quality products are received so well.”
Overall Supplier of the Year was presented, for the second consecutive year, to Roper Rhodes. The award recognises Roper Rhodes’ longstanding partnership with Graham showrooms, its great product offering and excellent service. “I was delighted to be presented with the Showroom Supplier of the Year award on behalf of the team at Roper Rhodes,” commented Mark Joyce, National and Major Accounts Controller for Roper Rhodes. “A big thank you to the Graham showroom team for their continued hard work and support”.
As well as recognising its suppliers, colleague awards were also presented to Graham staff who have shown innovation, customer intimacy and engagement, as well as a Rising Star and Legend award.
