Graham appoint new md

Plumbers merchant Graham, sister company builders merchant Jewson, has appointed David Gledhill to the role of managing director, replacing Simon Carin, from October 1 2009.

Graham appoint new md

Gledhill joined Graham’s sister company, Jewson, in 1986, starting in a sales role and progressing to become a branch manager before moving into area management.

He has held senior management roles in Frazer, IDS and Platform, and two years ago was appointed the first Managing Director of the Timber Group.

Carin will be joining sister Saint-Gobain company Solaglas, distributor, processor and installer of glass related systems in the UK, as managing director, after having spent seven years with Graham.

During his time with the plumbers’ merchant, Carin was responsible for doubling the Graham network to 230 branches, oversaw the acquisition of Curzon Heating Components and helped to develop Greenworks, the sustainable solutions brand of Saint-Gobain Building Distribution UK & Ireland.
