Grafton secures Derby Homes contract

Grafton Supply Chain Solutions, part of the Grafton group, parent company of Buildbase, Plumbase and Jacksons, has secured a long-term deal with a Derby City Council-owned housing company worth at least £2.8 million a year.
The 10-year deal with Derby Homes will see the Derby Buildbase branch, based in Parcel Terrace, become the sole supplier of products and services to help maintain its properties.

The deal will see the firm expand its services to provide a one-stop service to Derby Homes, delivered by a team of nine dedicated staff.

It is now looking to add two new electrical and gas spares specialists to its team.

Buildbase Derby branch manager Richard Lee said: “The facility and services we have established with Derby Homes creates a very flexible approach and means we can be highly responsive and reduce the time taken to fulfil the work required.

“It will build on the personal approach we have already developed with the organisation over six years. It’s extremely rare in this industry to obtain a 10-year contract and we feel this is testament to the team’s breadth of knowledge.”
