Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Builders merchanting and DIY Group Grafton has acquired Kent-based general merchanting business Direct Builders Merchants Ltd.
Grafton say the bolt-on acquisition of the company, which had revenue of £4.8 million in the financial year to 31 December 2013, will improve the Group’s coverage of the merchanting market in the South East of England.
DBM trades from three branches located in Sittingbourne, Whitstable and Ashford in Kent.
Last week, the Group which has operations in the UK, Ireland Belgium, reported a big jump in profits thanks to improving trading conditions.
