A Yeovil company led the way in kick-starting the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Employees at Garador, leading garage door manufacturer, were among the first in the country to bake cakes in aid of the official Macmillan Coffee Morning, held on September 25th.
Simon Hipgrave, Garador’s managing director, said: “There really was an amazing selection, from coffee and walnut gateaux, to highly decorated sponges, and healthy fruit berry cup cakes.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s main fundraising event, raising millions of pounds for people with cancer every year. The cakes were sold as part of Garador’s official support for the Macmillan Coffee Morning, all proceeds going to the charity.
