Galloway to launch Taylor's Timber Centre

Major investment has taken place at the Thornton Road business following its takeover last July by managing director Charles Taylor.

The project has created an improved and extended showroom layout to more effectively display products and provide hospitality to customers. New product lines are also in place, among them plaster, plasterboard and insulation. A free design service for stairparts, decking and fencing has also been introduced.

The layout of the timber yard has been improved to facilitate increased stock ranges and quantities, with an additional timber saw installed to enhance the on-site cutting service. A new drive-though system is designed to speed up collections, with a new vehicle purchased to augment express delivery.

New jobs have also been created, with three additional staff employed in the business to boost customer service and more effectively cope with increasing demand.

Galloway will officially launch the premises on Saturday, March 9.

“We continue to make an increasing impact across Bradford and beyond, serving a growing multi-cultural customer base, predominantly local builders and joiners, along with the DIY sector, ” said Taylor.
