After much teasing, the Fork Lift Truck Association has revealed a stellar programme for its 15th National Forklift Safety Convention.
Delegates at this year’s event will learn how to develop a safer culture, understand parallels between safety and combat, and hear a shocking, real-life account from a fork lift accident survivor.
The only event of its kind in Europe, the 15th annual National Forklift Safety Convention will take place on Wednesday 3rd October 2018 at the Heart of England Events and Conference Centre, Coventry.
The programme sets out a compelling day of real-life case studies, motivational speakers and peer-to-peer networking. With three extraordinary guest speakers scheduled, this year’s event offers an unmissable opportunity to get closer to those helping shape safety culture today.
Speakers at the 2018 event include:
- Dr Tim Marsh – ‘Behavioural Approach’
- Stewart Hill FCMI – ‘Warehouse or Warzone’
Ex-Army Officer, artist and leadership expert Stewart shares a candid discussion as he explores the parallels between warehouse and warzone. Expect some surprising revelations in this inspiring talk.
- Lisa Ramos – ‘Interviewed by Rebecca Morden’

Attendees will also have the chance to explore two safe site case studies, including a look at the UK’s largest builders’ merchants Travis Perkins.
Expressing his excitement about this year’s programme, FLTA chief executive Peter Harvey MBE says: “It’s an honour to have the likes of Tim Marsh, Stewart Hill and, of course, Lisa Ramos join us for our 15th Safety Convention. I’d also like to thank our sponsor and media partner for helping make this happen.”
