Fernox extends training online

Chemical water treatment company Fernox has launched a new range of e-learning modules, suitable for merchant staff.
The four modules cover: The Fundamentals of Water Treatment- Part One and Two, Testing Water Quality and Powerflushing.

The four manageable modules can be hosted on all merchant intranet sites. Users are shown what each module will cover and what they can expect to learn. Learning is measured by answering 10 short multiple-choice questions before and after each module is taken.

The Fundamentals of Water Treatment- Part One looks at the scope and importance of chemical water treatment, standards and legislation, including the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive. It also considers which products are an essential element of successful central heating servicing and maintenance.

Part Two covers common heating problems that can be corrected by chemical water treatment as well as how to protect and maintain the energy efficiency of a system.

Powerflushing provides a detailed overview of the process itself, relevant legislation, strategies and best practice guidance.

Testing Water Quality concludes the modules and explains why test kits are required, the advantages of testing water quality, contamination issues and remedial actions as well as an overview of the Fernox water test kits available.
