Distributor of heating, plumbing and bathroom products, F & P Wholesale, has appointed John Byrne as its new heating category manager.
Byrne has more than 20 years’ industry experience and joins the distributor from Plumbing Trade Supplies, where he was appointed to the position of category manager after the company was acquired by the Travis Perkins Group in 2012.
At PTS, he was responsible for copper tube products, fittings, plastics and water treatment. As part of this role, Byrne also took on brand development and was heavily involved in overseas sourcing projects.
Speaking about his new role, he said: “I look forward to using my many years of experience in the heating and plumbing industry to help develop and grow the business, and hopefully learn some new skills along the way.”
