Expamet Building Products are to spend £500,000 on new tooling and machinery at their Hartlepool site.
The development coincides with the creation of a new ‘Construction Division’, centred upon Expamet’s Hy-Rib permanent formwork for concrete and will encompass a range of new products including Type 1 Wall Ties, Galvanised and Stainless Steel Wind Posts and Masonry Support Systems.
“We wanted to expand the business in a way that would also offer real benefits to our customers” says managing director, Nigel Dickinson. “By working closely with our customers and including them in the whole development process we have been able to compile a range of products which offer maximum sales potential for merchants and distributors.”
New products will take the same route to market as Expamet’s existing lines, enabling merchants to expand their offering to a much wider customer base.
