Exclusive: Lawsons hosts consumer launch of Superdad insulation campaign

The Superdad promotion offers Superglass insulation for just £5 a roll and is available via independent builders merchants. The scheme is CERT-funded, helping consumers to insulate their homes for less, whilst allowing merchants access to the government-sponsored energy initiative.

Superdad, Superglass’ biggest ever loft insulation initiative, is highlighting the fact that the right loft insulation saves householders money, reduces the energy they use and their carbon footprint, and makes a home more comfortable.

Michael Beard, Superglass Insulation’s sales & marketing director, said: “Superdad is here to help the nation save money and help the environment. By installing insulation that is 270mm deep, consumers can save up to £100 on their annual heating bills; keep their home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer; prevent condensation and reduce their home carbon footprint by 800kg every year.”

The launch was held at Lawsons’ branch in New Malden, Surrey. Lawsons’ commercial director Jeremy Norris told buildersmerchantsjournal.net that the company was pleased to be able to host the launch. “It’s a way of getting more insulation out there and installed. And the good thing about this campaign is that it is a long-running initiative. It’s not just about selling cheap insulation for a week and then it’s gone. This initiative runs through 2012.”

Phillips, who won was the first ever winner of TV’s Big Brother in the UK, runs the largest construction academy in the North West and has filmed more than 850 national DIY shows.

He said: “It’s so important that people realise that this is a great way of saving money on their heating bills and saving the planet by reducing their carbon footprint. It’s saving them money on buying the product and also saving them money on their heating bills.”

The Superdad website www.superdadonline.co.uk not only helps consumers find their local stockist but provides guidance on how to install the product and health & safety.
