‘Excellence in Customer Service’ Award for MKM Kirkcaldy

MKM’s branch in Kirkcaldy has won top prize for ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ at a regional business award ceremony.

MKM Kirkcaldy scooped the award at a special gala dinner for the Fife Business Awards, at the Glen Pavillion in Dunfermline. The Excellence in Customer Service award celebrates those businesses who “demonstrate excellence through their customer service objectives and strategy, business performance, customer care activities, staff development plans and show how this has driven business growth.”

As a brand, MKM distinguishes itself in the crowded builders’ merchant’s sector with a special focus on the customer experience, making each branch part of its local community. In addition to offering the warmest service possible, MKM Kirkcaldy has been involved in numerous local causes, including charity work, sponsorships and more. The branch stepped in to help the Scottish Poppy Appeal when the usual distributor for the Kirkcaldy area fell through – the campaign raised £14,000.
