Encon Insulation gives contractors the green light

Insulation distributor Encon Insulation has set up an Eco Club to help contractors access ECO and Green Deal funding.

Encon Insulation gives contractors the green light

The club was launched at a half-day seminar at Encon’s branch in Chorley on Friday 21st March and is supported by ECO and Green Deal funding provider Effective Energy and leading manufacturers including Kingspan Insulation, Superglass and Parex.

Eco Club members will benefit from support accessing ECO and Green Deal funding and Green Deal cash backs. They will also be eligible for product buying deals and ongoing trading incentives. Access to renewables products will also be supplied through distributor Amco Renewables.

In addition, they will also benefit from access to ECO and Green Deal projects and schemes and project data and customer introduction, lead generation and marketing as well as training for the Green Deal installer certification standard PAS 2030.

Mike Beard of Encon said: “Often this new, fast-moving market sector is seen as over-complicated, with huge barriers to entry, and as a consequence many contractors risk missing the boat. The Encon Eco Club aims to cut through this, keep things simple and allow our customers to enter the ECO and Green Deal arena.

“Initial press has been less than kind to both schemes but they are in play and our Eco Club will help SMEs enter and compete with the larger national players. This model will develop over the coming months and enable members to access expertise to get them started and provide projects to work on and competitively priced products with which to carry out the work.”

Encon Insulation’s Eco Club launch comes hard on the heels of two recent Encon Group initiatives – an etrade24-7 facility and a training academy at its North West branch.
