Hampshire builders merchants Elliott Brothers is taking 80 teams of cyclists on a charity ride through France later this month.
80 teams of cyclists will ride from St Malo on the English Channel coast to Cahors in the south west in three days, starting on September 29th.
Elliotts managing director Stuart Mason Elliott says the event aims to raise £250,000 for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.
The event costs are being paid by Elliotts so every penny donated in sponsorship will do directly to the charities.
It’s the first year that Mason Eliiot’s wife, Jocelyne (five years into the fight against breast cancer) has taken up the cycle challenge and she will be riding the course in tandem with him – on a tandem. It is also the 25th time that Mason Elliott has undertaken such a challenge since 1990.
