Dulux Trade have formulated and launched a brand new range of more environmentally sustainable paint.
In selected stores from this month, the Ecosure range is the result of a development programme in conjunction with Forum for the Future – leading independent sustainability experts.
The range comprises matt, gloss and undercoat formulations, each of which is water-based and, say Dulux, offer ‘best in class’ performance despite a demonstrably lower environmental impact than standard products. Environmental impact was measured using two key sustainability criteria, namely embodied carbon and VOC.
Ecosure Matt is available in brilliant white, magnolia and the full ICI Dulux Trade colours, including Colour Palette, Professional Colour Card and Heritage ranges as well as British Standard BS4800 and RAL Classic. Ecosure Gloss and Undercoat are available in pure brilliant white and an extensive colour range.
Dulux Trade brand manager David Shepherd said: “Until now, specifying products that deliver on sustainability and performance has been challenging due to the complex nature of the issue and the proliferation of claims. Ecosure will change that.
“Ecosure is a really exciting proposition that will enable specifiers to choose products that are proven to have a lower environmental impact, thereby helping them meet their sustainability objectives without compromising on performance.”
