Matt Gray, Skills and Development Consultant at Dulux Academy was joined by Rachel Tozer, Marketing Manager of Dulux Trade to front an interactive masterclass followed by a Q&A that helped tackle some of the practical challenges the industry is experiencing around the move to water based.

Dulux Colour of the Year 2019, Spiced Honey, was painted in both Diamond Matt and Eggshell, demonstrating the different finishes that can be achieved within the durable range.

Rachel Tozer comments: “The industry is keen to embrace the latest products and techniques. The future of our industry is water based which is why through our masterclass demonstrations we aimed to help professionals to best in class application techniques to deliver a professional water based result that will last.”

Dulux Trade also challenged attendees to demonstrate their own personal durability with The Diamond Tough challenge – a strength test that rewarded the competitor with the greatest show of durability a £250 Love to Shop voucher.
