Grip It Fixings MD, Jordan Daykin become Dragons’ Den’s youngest ever successful investee and at age 18 can claim to have the impressive business might of Dragon, Deborah Meaden on his team.

Grip It Fixings are a revolutionary new universal plasterboard fixing designed to overcome the problem of securing heavy items such as boilers and radiators to plasterboard walls. Steve Burns of Select Products said: “We are delighted that Grip It has appointed Select Products to rollout their innovative fixings to plumbers and builders merchants nationwide as our extensive merchant network will ensure there’s an outlet for Grip It Fixings nearby.”

Grip It Fixings applied for Dragons’ Den in December 2013 and within 3 months the company had been chosen, filmed the programme and secured an offer of£80k investment for 25% of his company. Daykin’s objective was to secure external expertise and contacts to assist his company’s continued growth and expansion in the UK and to help them launch Grip It Fixings into the American market.

Daykin and his team are now busy working directly with Deborah Meaden and her business development team. Over the next 12 months with the help and experience of Select Products and their existing distribution network Grip It plan to focus on growth in the UK whilst making plans for entry into the USA.

The programme aired on Sunday 17th August 2014 July and can be viewed on the BBC iPlayer or YouTube.
