Growing pressure to reduce carbon emissions has put renewable heating technology to the forefront of industry conversations.
The Heat Pump Association (HPA) recently gave evidence to the Government’s Science and Technologies Committee about the benefits of heat pumps for meeting emissions targets, stating “heat pumps are ready and available now and do not need the huge investment being asked for from other technologies…”
To accommodate the growing demand for renewables, Vaillant is launching two new heat pump products to its range: aroTHERM split and aroSTOR.
aroTHERM split is an air source heat pump that builds upon the success of the original aroTHERM model with a number of improvements to its design, resulting in better performance, greater efficiency and quieter operating noise.
The air flow stream has been re-designed and improved to achieve a tangible reduction in noise at all running conditions, down to as low as 53dB(a). A new radial front grid concept limits pressure losses and noise disturbances to provide optimal energy efficiency, with an A+++ energy rating and Seasonal Co-efficiency of Performance (SCoP) of up to 4.69. This means end-users benefit from higher Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments and lower running costs, saving money over time.
The inverter control employs the latest technology on electronic power components, resulting in a 5% electric efficiency improvement to further reduce energy bills.
Every component has been meticulously designed by Vaillant’s in-house research and development teams, resulting in a product which redefines standards in the heat pump market. Other features include:
- “Seaside” proof up to 200m
- reddot award-winning design for aesthetics
- Improved transport and handling
- Weather compensated system controller and installation wizard
Another new addition is aroSTOR, domestic hot water heat pump, which provides reliable and energy efficient stored domestic hot water for larger properties with multiple bathrooms.
This product is exceptionally quiet (52dB) and offers an A+ ErP rating and SCoP of up to 3.19. Engineers will find it easy to install and transport, thanks to its compact diameter of only 634mm and branded installation carry bag which comes as standard.
For added peace of mind, aroSTOR comes with a five-year warranty on the tank and two-year warranty on other parts.
