The 28th of May saw Claire Digby and Justine Owens of Digby Stone take part in the 104k Ride the Night challenge, a cycling event through the centre of London.
Digby and Owens were part of over 3,000 cyclists who took part to raise funds for Women V Cancer – a group of women’s cancer charities: Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.
The ride was made up of exclusively female riders who aimed to help the charities who were riding to raise funds and also awareness of breast, cervical and ovarian cancers that affect the lives of thousands daily.
Digby and Owens rode through the night, and successfully completed the race at 4:49am Sunday morning. By the end of the event, the charity had surpassed their fundraising targets and raised a total of £1,065,000.
Digby said: “It was such a great sense of achievement to complete the ride and raise funds at the same time for such worthy charities. Now to look for our next big challenge!”
