Devon builders merchant expands

The new unit, in Babbage Road Industrial Estate, Totnes, was officially opened by Totnes Mayor Pam Barnes.

Family-owned business Inter-Line has in business in the area for 32 years with branches in Brixham, Paignton, Exeter and a head office in Torquay.

Financial controller Neil Robinson told buildersmerchantsjournal.net that the company had been looking at moving to the area for a couple of years and had been waiting for the right time to develop the business there. “There aren’t any independent merchants focused on Totnes, only national chains. We believe there is room for an independent business who can be a little more flexible to the demands of local customers.”
