The pallet of tea was delivered to the Northampton Hope Centre which supports over 100 homeless, vulnerable, and disadvantaged people at any one time.

The donation was made following a recent promotion where tea bags were given away with any purchase from a Travis Perkins trade counter.

Matt Aitken, Travis Perkins Marketing Manager, said: “We’re always keen to support the local community and it made sense to support a cause where the teabags could be put to good use. Travis Perkins has been rooted in the Northampton area for many years, so it’s great that we can do something to encourage conversation between the staff and volunteers at the Hope Centre and those in need.”

Paul Kinsella, Northampton Hope Centre Fundraising Managing, added: “We’re extremely grateful for this donation from Travis Perkins – a hot drink and a conversation goes a long way to providing comfort and a sense of security. It can also mean the start of an important relationship between our staff, volunteers, and those in need, so that we can provide potentially lifesaving advice, support and training.”
